About ABC
From Ohio to Cusco
Hi, I’m Ashley Billota, founder of Andean Bridge Consulting. I grew up in rural Ohio, but my path eventually led me to Peru. After earning my degree in Conservation Biology and my master’s in Sustainable Tourism, I moved abroad and spent five years living in Peru, where I married a Cusco native and built strong roots in the local community.
My work has taken me deep into the Amazon rainforest and high in the Andean mountains, where I worked in conservation and learned directly from Indigenous communities in both the jungle and the high Andes. I’ve collaborated with NGOs, travel agencies, local guides, and families, and spent years working in Peru’s tourism and hospitality industry.
Service has always been a core part of my life. In Cusco, I volunteered with animal shelters, street dog welfare programs, and children’s education initiatives. I also worked in the TEFL industry, helping teachers and students plan international travel, work opportunities, and immigration arrangements.
Along the way, I became bilingual in Spanish and developed a deep love for Peru’s landscapes, cultures, and people.
Through Andean Bridge Consulting, my passion is helping others build meaningful connections in Peru—linking people with projects, communities, and responsible travel experiences that create real, positive impact.
